About

A statewide voice for Florida's landscape artisans.

The Florida Association of Landscape Artisans (FLASLA) supports the contractors and specialty trades who design, install, and maintain Florida's outdoor environments.

Disclaimer: FLASLA is not affiliated with the "American Society of Landscape Architects — Florida Chapter" or any other organization with a similar name.

What is an "artisan"?

Artisans — sometimes called special trade contractors — are professionals hired to perform specialty undertakings that require a highly developed and specialized skill set. In Florida's landscape industry, that includes everything from certified arborists and irrigation designers to paver installers, pool builders, and licensed pesticide applicators.

Why we exist

Florida's landscape and outdoor-trades sector is one of the largest in the country, but its contractors face a unique set of challenges: hurricane recovery, complex licensing rules, rising insurance costs, and a constantly shifting regulatory environment.

FLASLA exists to give those contractors a single resource hub — focused on education, compliance guidance, and access to better insurance through our multi-carrier quote program.

What we do

  • Educate — practical guides on licensing, safety, and risk management.
  • Connect — a statewide network of trades, suppliers, and specialists.
  • Protect — comparative insurance quotes from Florida-licensed carriers.

Whether you're a one-truck lawn care operator in Lakeland or a 50-employee design/build firm in Naples, FLASLA is built for you.
